Plum Street Sampler GEORGE LOVES MARTHA Cross Stitch Pattern Nashville Market. Anyone who knows me knows that not only do I love history, but I love the General's history in particular! This design was really fun for me because my favorite color is pink (it's such a happy color!), and the idea of George presenting Martha with a bouquet of heart balloons seemed charming. She's giving him her heart in return (as seen in the palm of her hand).
  • Stitch count: 154w x 99h
  • Fabric: 36 ct Overcast by Cedar River Linen
  • Threads used:
  • DMC in 221, 225, 353, 402, 677, 680, 844, 926, 928, 3776, and B5200.
  • Classic Colorworks in Rose Petal, Black Coffee, Pine Needles, Weeping Willow, Cherry Cobbler, and Jakey Brown.
  • Weeks Dye Works in Putty, Olive Branch, Tin Roof, and Terrapin.
  • The Gentle Art in Antique Rose and Oatmeal.
FOR AIDA STITCHERS: There are just a few places in this pattern that will need slight adjustments: some areas of long or back or straight stitches will split the center of your fabric squares, but they can be moved to the nearest hole instead. There are just a few over-one stitches in this design; these can be replaced with back stitches or in the case of the birds' eyes, a full x.
